Yesterday I found out that The Be Good Tanyas newest album, “Hello Love”, was going to be reviewed on NPR’s, “All Things Considered” (link to review). A few minutes before the review aired (4:47 pm to be precise), I headed over to Amazon.com to see the Amazon Sales Rank for the album. It was #244.
This morning, I checked at 8:33 and the sales rank is now #23.

Interesting to me because I heard about the newest Frank Sinatra boxed set, featuringing live recordings from his Vegas appearances, on ATC; I decided to give it as a Christmas gift to someone and immediately went to Amazon. No prob, on sale for $30 below retail, shipping within 2-3 days. But I didn’t have time to make the purchase, so I waited a day. NEXT day–shipping within 7-14 days.
One other thing–on this week’s TAL, Ira said that PRI had picked up Jonathan Goldstein’s WIRETAP, so perhaps soon we in the US will be able to enjoy more of this excellent radio program.
