Road Trip 2002

Route MapDay Twenty-Nine

Aloha, OR - Mossyrock, WA
Date:
07/09/2002
Distance: 108 miles
Weather: Mostly Sunny 75-95

Today it was nice to sleep in a little late. After a hot shower (no coins required), the three of us headed to OMSI- Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. There we played with science toys of all kinds, and Kim and Corin predicted the weather. There was even time to see an OMNI-IMAX show called Space Station.

After playing the morning away, we were ready to set out again. We said goodbye to Kim, grabbed lunch at a local market, and drove right into Washington State (ouch). We stopped at a state park in Mossyrock, WA, a town with many hidden charms (we guessed), we ventured into, which was nearly deserted. We had dinner at the Viking Cafe, basically a buger joint. We returned home, played one card game of spit and went to sleep.

Hey, Ogden was involved in the making of the IMAX film "Amazon". "A science museum, you don't say."

Corin, I believe you are miscalculating this ratio. Playing with one of many exhibits.

Corin and Kim forecast the weather. Looks like a nice day.

A secret photo taken in the IMAX film "Space Station" The Gummy Bears entertain us while we drive in afternoon Portland traffic.

Portland backdropped by Mount Hood.

Welcome to Washington. Dinner at the Viking Cafe.

Dinner. Ogden determined to drink Snapple.
